(EBC; December 21, 2017) – Ethiopia and the World Bank on Thursday signed two financing agreements amounting to 470 million US dollar in the form of grant and loan.
As per the agreement, 300 million US dollar of the stated sum would be utilized for the implementation of the General Education Quality Improvement program for Equity. The balance would be utilized for Livestock and Fisheries Sector Development.
Speaking in the occasion, World Bank Country Director, Carolyn Turk expressed commitment to helping Ethiopia’s efforts to make the next generation a learning generation.
Minister of Finance and Economic Cooperation, Dr. Abraham Tekeste for his part assured to effectively utilize the finance for the intended purposes.
