Addis Ababa, May 2, 2017 (FBC) – The new Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed will pay a two-day state visit to Ethiopia tomorrow.
The President is expected to discuss on bilateral and regional issues with President Mulatu Teshome and Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
Their discussion in particular will focus on Ethiopia’s peacekeeping mission in Somalia as well as ongoing peace building activities in the country.
Mohamed was elected President of Somalia three months ago.
He won the presidency after two rounds of voting by members of parliament.
President Mohamed is popularly known as “Farmajo”, from the Italian for cheese, because of his love for the dairy product.
