Addis gets smart car park

Addis Ababa, April 22, 2017 (FBC) – A car park, which was built at a cost of 40 million birr in Addis Ababa at a place commonly known as Megenagna, has begun trial operation.

The 15-floor smart parking building, which rested on 170 square meters of land, can accommodate a total of 140 cars at the same time -50 of them on the ground floor.

The car park will go fully operational in a few days creating employment opportunities for 20 people, transport program coordination office of Addis Ababa city told ENA.

According to the office, 60 car parks will be built in Addis Ababa in the future. Constructions have already started at three sites- Anwar Mosque, Churchill road and Wello Sefer.
