Walta kicks off Television Program

Walta Media and Communications Corporate has officially commenced its television program today.

CEO with the Corporate, Teteka Bekele, during the official launching ceremony said that the commencement of Walta Television program is historic as it is kicked off on the day of the 6th Ethiopian Grand Renascence Dam foundation stone commemoration.

Teteka added that Walta Television has targeted to make a difference on the media industry and to focus on building the national consensus, credible, and to be a guaranteed media for the public at large.

According to Teteka, the corporate has integrated Media and Technology Engineering, Research and Communication, Business Development and Public Relations, Broadcasting, and Corporate Service Delivery Service Centers in the new corporate platform.

With a sense of cost effective manner, Walta has spent an amount of 50 million ETB to build a media studio having a lighting system which can regulate itself according to the air condition, LD format, and is power efficient, flexible and enriched in color collections as well, he noted.

The new Walta Television program will be on air for 18 consecutive hours every day in Amharic.

Walta has set a target to be one of the most reliable media center in Africa in 2025.
The new television channel can be accessed on frequency 10892, polarization-horizontal, symbol rate 27500 and FEC 3/4.

Walta Information Center was established in Dec, 1994 G.C. in order to bridge up the gaps in information.
