Ministry purchases five radiotherapy machines for cancer treatment

Addis Ababa, February 18, 2017 (FBC) –The Ministry of Health said it has purchased five radiotherapy machines for cancer treatment at a cost of 25 million US dollars.

The machines are entering into the country, Dr Amir Aman, State Minister of Health told FBC.

The radiotherapy machines will be distributed to Black Lion and St. Paul’s hospitals as well as to Haromaya, Jimma and Mekelle medical centers.

Black Lion is the only hospital which provides cancer treatment in the country.
