Dam to be built near Lake Beseqa with 7 bln Birr

(EBC, 08 December 2015) – The Awash Basin Authority announced on Monday that a dam will be built near Lake Beseqa with seven billion Birr.
According to the Authority, Lake Beseqa and Awash River will be utilized for irrigation development and supply of drinking water.
The 120 meter high dam will have the capacity to contain 600 million cubic meters of water, it was learned.Read more
