Ethiopia detains 20 biplanes for violating airspace

Addis Ababa, November 24, 2016 (FBC) –The Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority said it has detained 20 biplanes for violating Ethiopia’s airspace two days ago.
According to a statement the Authority sent to FBC today, the planes were forced to land at Gambella airport as they crossed into Ethiopia illegally and without asking permission from Sudan.

The Authority, in partnership with pertinent bodies is investigating the missions and motives of the planes, the statement indicated.

The Authority finally said it will make public the findings of the investigation when it is completed.
