Two industrial parks to go operational in February

Addis Ababa, November 12, 2016 (FBC) – The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) said Kombolcha and Mekele industrial parks will go operational in February.

The parks are being built at a cost of 250 million US dollars and will create jobs for over 50,000 people, Amare Asgedom, Deputy CEO of IPDC told ENA.

Both parks are parts of government’s plan to build 10 parks within five years.

Preparations have also been finalized to begin the construction of Adama and Dire Dawa industrial parks.

Moreover, the construction of Jimma, Aisha, Ararti, Debre Birhan and Bahir Dar industrial parks will commence this Ethiopian fiscal year.
