Ethiopia hosts FIFA’s Congress next year

Addis Ababa, May 20, 2016 (FBC) – Ethiopia was chosen to host FIFA’s Congress to be held next year.
According to a statement the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) sent to FBC today, Ethiopia was chosen to host the Congress during FIFA’s 66th Congress held last week in Mexico city.

During the Congress, FIFA also approved a 4 million US dollars funding for the East Africa Football Academy to be established in Addis Ababa.

Participants drawn from over 209 FIFA member countries are expected to take part at next year’s Congress.
