Addis Ababa, January 30, 2016 (FBC) – Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has held discussion with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt on the sideline of the 26th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) here in Addis Ababa today.
The two sides discussed on ways of cementing bilateral relations based on mutually agreed principles.
Moreover, they agreed to strengthen the Joint Ministerial Commission of Ethiopia and Egypt, to cooperate against terrorism and to elevate trade and investment ties.
The Egyptian President said there is a huge interest among Egyptian companies to invest in Ethiopia, and noted that Ethiopia needs to encourage them.
PM Hailemariam on his part assured President El-Sisi that Ethiopia would do all at its disposal to encourage investment flow from Egypt.
