Addis Ababa, May 4, 2017 (FBC) – The federal prosecutor today responded to the 11-page objections filed by Dr Merera Gudina.
Dr Merera filed objection on February 23, 2017 against the terror charges the federal prosecutor brought against him.
He was charged along with Dr Berhanu Nega, chairman of Ginbot 7.
In his objection, Dr Merera demanded his charge to be separated from Dr Berhanu Nega.
In the response, the federal prosecutor said the charge should not be separated as both have common goals, objectives and relationships.
Moreover, the defendant breached the State of Emergency declared last October, the prosecutor said in a five-page response.
The Federal High Court 19th criminal bench adjourned the case for June 2, 2017.
