Ministry set to transfer over 40,000 condos

Addis Ababa, May 12, 2016 (FBC) –More than 40,000 condominium houses will be transferred to beneficiaries this Ethiopian budget year, said the ministry of urban development and construction.

The ministry revealed this while presenting its nine-month performance report to the House of Peoples Representatives (HPR).

The residential houses being built under the 40/60, 20/80 and 10/90 housing schemes are nearing completion, said Mekuria Haile, minister of urban development and construction.

According to him, 36,126 houses are being built under the 20/80 housing project. There are also 1, 292 houses under the 40/60 scheme.
