Addis Ababa, April 20, 2016 (FBC) – Ethiopia has begun two days of national mourning today for its people massacred by an armed group in Gambella regional state last week.
Ethiopian flag is flying at half-mast across the nation, Ethiopian embassies and consulates as well as Ethiopian owned ships.
About 182 innocent civilians were killed by a cross-border attack carried out in three woredas of Nuer zone, Gambella regional state. Some 108 children were also abducted by the gunmen.
Ethiopian defense force has been taking measure against the attackers and so far killed 60 gunmen.
Currently, the defense force intensified its operation to free the kidnapped children.
