Addis Ababa, March 15, 2016 (FBC) – Addis Ababa is going to host a conference aimed at sharing knowledge and experience in Kaizen management philosophy and implementation strategy, the Ethiopian Kaizen Institute (EKI) disclosed.
EKI Public Relations Coordination Head, Temesgen Gebre-Egziabher told ENA that the conference will be held from March 23 to 24, 2016, and it is expected to bring together representatives from eight African countries, including Ethiopia, which have implemented the Kaizen philosophy.
According to Temesgen, the meeting will give those countries, namely Ethiopia, Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia, the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in the policy framework and implementation of Kaizen.
The level Ethiopia has attained in implementing Kaizen management philosophy and the achievements it has registered enabled her to be selected to host the conference, the head elaborated.
Temesgen added that the conference will help accelerate the country’s aspiration to become a center of excellence in Kaizen management philosophy in Africa.
Of the 30 Ethiopian companies that implemented the Kaizen management philosophy, 28 have succeeded.
The conference will be organized jointly with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), it was learned.
