Addis Ababa, March 7, 2016 (FBC) – Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC), in partnership with El-Shaddai Charity Organization, yesterday graduated over 10, 000 youth who had been living on street in various professions.
More than 300 of the third batch graduates are females.
The graduates were trained in machine operation, electricity, car repair and driving, automotive and construction, among others.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Deputy Director General of the Corporation, Major General Tigabu Fetile, said the corporation graduates the disadvantageous youth to assist government’s effort to beat poverty.
The Corporation previously graduated 7,000 street living youth.
