Addis Ababa, January 2, 2016 (FBC) – The President Dr. Mulatu Teshome hosted a farewell ceremony for the newly appointed Ambassadors of Ethiopia at the National Palace on Saturday (January 2).
On the occasion, President Dr. Mulatu congratulated the newly appointed Ambassadors on their appointment and wished a successful tenure.
He has also given a letter of credence to the 15 newly appointed Ambassadors and directions on their next duties reminding them to keep the interest of Ethiopia in all fronts.
During the ceremony Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom asked newly appointed Ambassadors to work for the advancement Ethiopia’s interest in bilateral and Multi-lateral forums.
He also stated the new ambassadors should continue on promoting the image of Ethiopia and looking for opportunities to support developmental plans of the state.
He further highlighted the importance of eying for investors that can engage in basic infrastructure development.
He also told the Ambassadors that they need to engage vigorously in building the image of Ethiopia, reflective of the leap in economic growth and development.
