(07 January 2016) – Tourism infrastructures built in Lalibela town, Amhara State, at a cost of 300 million Birr were inaugurated on Thursday.
The edifices were inaugurated in the presence of senior government officials including FDRE President Mulatu Teshome and Amhara State Chief Administrator Degu Andargachew.
The two officials also on the occasion laid a cornerstone for a multipurpose hall to be jointly built by the government and the public.
Both the hall and the newly inaugurated projects are believed to boost tourist flow to the area where a grand ceremony will be held on Thursday in connection with the Christmas holiday.
