Communist Party of China vows to strengthen relations with EPRDF


Addis Ababa, January 23, 2018 (FBC) – A delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been conducting a working visit in Ethiopia.

The delegation yesterday held discussion with head of EPRDF office, Shiferaw Shigute as well as office’s urban politics and organizational sector coordinator, Fetlework Gebre-Egziabher

During the discussion, Shiferaw told the delegation about the success attained in the country during the past years.

He said a lot achievements, which guaranteed the benefits of the people, were registered in the country, thereby enabling the nation to reduce by half the number of people living under the poverty line.

Ethiopia’s Constitution, which accommodated diversity, also guaranteed peace, democracy and development in the country.

Shiferaw also briefed the delegation on the recent conflicts occurred in the country, and said the Executive Committee of EPRDF in its recent meeting identified the cause of the problems and their solutions.

According to him, the problems were resulted from weaknesses of the organization and the government as well as the huge gap occurred towards creating employment opportunities.

However, the government has begun taking measures to rectify these problems.

Head of the delegation for his part told the EPRDF officials on the decisions taken at 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

During the Congress, a goal has been laid to make China a leading nation in comprehensive national power and global impact by 2050, he said.

The Communist Party of China is committed to strengthen its relations with EPRDF, head of the delegation said.
