PM Hailemariam holds talks with Saudi Special Envoy

Addis Ababa, December 2, 2017 (FBC) – Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn held talks at his office today with Saudi King Special Envoy, Major General Ahmad Hassan Mohammad Asiri.

During the meeting, the Premier and Envoy discussed way to strengthen socio-economic and security cooperation between the two countries.

Attracting more investment from Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia was also one of the main topics of the discussion.

As regards to regional issues, the two sides discussed ways to reinforce their peace and security cooperation, according to office of the Prime Minister.

Saudi Arabia wants to elevate its historical and longstanding ties with Ethiopia into a new high, the Saudi Envoy said, adding his country will work with the government of Ethiopia to attract more Saudi investors.

He further said the Saudi government wants to engage in modern agricultural development in Ethiopia.
